Remembrance Day.
Our accommodation was the Big 4 Tourist Park in Dubbo, a large park, and they are extending it with the tent style cabins. Our cabin was roomy, with separate bedroom.

Then some interesting facts to learn from the exhibition.
Way back in 1969 we watched Neil Armstrong walk on the moon!
All that was possible because of this telescope.
At 11.00 am we did remember them, Lest We Forget, but thought it a bit ironic that in a scientific facility, none of the clocks showed the correct time.
After leaving Parkes we followed the Newell Highway, and eventually found ourselves in Orange.
On advice from Fred who produces a travel DVD for Caravan Owners, we followed the road to a well known winery.
Fred didn't recommend an important tip, not suitable for caravans!
So down to a historic lake for lunch. A lovely old park with magnificent gum trees. These trees are prevalent in NSW.
We liked Orange, what a progressive town, lots of new housing estates and it appeared to be thriving.
Then to Bathurst. The caravan park was nothing short of a challenge for large vans and large vehicles. In our street, so far, 5 travelers have had the same problem.
We settled into our annex bedroom, had pizza for dinner, and crashed. About 1.00am the predicted storm hit, and 2 hours later, at 3.00 we had a lake view! Water through the annex. Luckily the contents of my clothing bag did not get not get wet, even though the bag was soaked.
Bathurst exploring on Saturday, after the shopping.
