After several perfect days, today rained. Even the new weather app told me to take an umbrella!
Our observations about Canberra over the past 5 days have been of our disappointment in the presentation of the National Capital, and the apparent disinterest in the ACT Government in at least trying to keep the place clean and tidy.
Opinion was that before the appointment of the ACT government, that the place was always spotless.
Today the King and Queen of Jordan arrive. Flags fly for them all around. The streets though tell a different story.
Either roses and the cold weather, or no roses and heat and humidity.
Then into a winery. A very expensive red purchased.
And lunch at the pub. Loved the ceiling hangings! An old town where the NSW police were active in breath testing drivers! We passed.
Tomorrow a long drive to Newcastle.
